Consortium on strategies for improving the academic quality standards of English Education Department's lecturers and students through domestic and international scholarships

Hosted by the Department of English Language Education of the Tabiyah Faculty of IAIN KUDUS, the consortium meeting titled "Strategies of improving the academic quality and competence of lecturers and students of the English Education Study Programme through domestic and international scholarships" took place on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 10:30 WIB.  Department faculty, students, and stakeholders assemble at the Faculty of Tarbiyah building's VP2 room for the purpose of this endeavor.

During the collaborative consortium, several topics were discussed, including scholarships for English language students and educators. At the event, Auns Azhar and Muhammad Sabar Prihatin, who were scholarship recipients from the International Islamic University of Indonesia (UIII), shared their experiences of applying for various scholarships worldwide. The speakers presented different perspectives and motivated attendees to pursue their dreams by taking advantage of the scholarship opportunities available to them.

   

During a discussion about educational opportunities at the Indonesian International Islamic University, Muhammat Sabar Prihatin shared his valuable insights. He explained the benefits of university scholarships, including the selection process, eligibility criteria, and conditions. Everyone present was attentive, especially those who might be eligible for the scholarships. We discussed the Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Education programs in detail.

The speaker delivered an insightful and informative presentation at the Indonesian International Islamic University, shedding light on the immense educational opportunities available to both lecturers and students. He placed a strong emphasis on the importance of improving academic quality and building competence to secure scholarships. Drawing from his wealth of experience, he provided several constructive strategies that can be employed to achieve this goal, such as developing a strong curriculum vitae, acquiring targeted skills, and contributing to society through volunteering and social work.

 

At the event, Auns Azhar took the stage with confidence and shared his extensive knowledge about scholarship opportunities in various countries, including China, South Korea, France, Japan, USA, UK, Italy, Russia, Sweden, and many more. He not only shared his personal experiences but also expertly addressed the attendees' queries on the application process for international scholarships. Auns Azhar's presentation was invaluable to anyone who aspires to pursue higher education abroad.

   

Those who are keen on learning more about studying abroad can take advantage of an opportunity to meet two experienced speakers in person. The two presenters passionately discussed several study abroad programs, shedding light on the possibilities of foreign education for the audience. They also highlighted successful application strategies for international scholarships and emphasized what potential scholarship awardees should know about the scholarship sponsors' expectations.

The organizers of this consortium envisioned it as a launching pad for educators, students, and education stakeholders worldwide to explore new educational opportunities. These opportunities are highly achievable if scholarship candidates prepare adequately to meet all the requirements.
