Friday, November 22, 2024, Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Kudus hosted the closing ceremony for the Closing Assessment Event of the Department of English Education (TBI). The event occurred in the auditorium on the second floor of the SBSN building and was attended by various stakeholders, including assessors from Independent Educational Accreditation Institutions (LAMDIK).
The ceremony began with remarks from Dr. Meinarni Susilowati, M.Ed., an assessor from UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim. In her speech, she conveyed her heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to everyone involved, particularly the task force team of the English Education Program, for their hard work in preparing the essential data and documentation. "The documents and data provided were incredibly beneficial for this assessment process and are critical for our goal of achieving international accreditation," she noted. She highlighted that the year 2025 represents a significant opportunity for IAIN Kudus to gain greater recognition in the global education sector.
She pointed out that one area needing more focus is the adoption of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum since OBE has become a vital international standard that must be implemented to ensure graduates possess the relevant skills and are prepared to compete globally. Additionally, she stated that once IAIN Kudus successfully achieves international accreditation, it will open up substantial opportunities for collaboration with educational institutions abroad. Such partnerships have a positive impact on human resource development and improve the quality of education at IAIN Kudus.
The event proceeded with constructive feedback from the second assessor, Prof. Dr. Ilza Mayuni, M.A., from Universitas Negeri Jakarta. She offered several recommendations, including enhancing international cooperation, establishing foreign student programs, and strengthening research groups at IAIN Kudus. These suggestions are intended to reinforce IAIN Kudus's standing in the global educational arena.
The ceremony concluded with expressions of gratitude from Vice Rector 1 of IAIN Kudus, Prof. Dr. H. Ihsan, M. Ag, to all those who participated in the accreditation process. He expressed hope that the efforts made would lead to favourable outcomes and meet expectations while continuing to enhance educational quality in the future.
