EDSA IAIN Kudus organized EDSA Fest 2025 with the theme "FROM WORDS TO WORLD: EMBRACING DIVERSITY THROUGH ENGLISH”
On Wednesday, April 30, 2024, coinciding with the 7th Anniversary of HMPS TBI IAIN KUDUS, the English Department Student Association (EDSA) organized the EDSA Fest 2024 with the theme "FROM WORDS TO WORLD: EMBRACING DIVERSITY THROUGH ENGLISH". The event started at 9:00 a.m. in the SBSN room of the Tarbiyah Faculty, 2nd floor. Representing other programs, EDSA extended invitations to the committee, faculty, and outgoing delegates.
The event began with remarks from the Committee Chair and EDSA 2025 Chair. This was followed by the speech of Hj. Alfu Nikmah M.Pd.., the secretary of the English Education Department, spoke about the organization. She emphasized the attitude of reminding each other to continue to do self-reflection and improvement for the organization's progress, to learn from experiences, and to develop themselves through various activities such as anniversaries and art performances, all aimed at being better. The last speech, which was quite short, was delivered by Mrs. Setyoningsih M.Pd.., the vice dean for cooperation and student affairs of Tarbiyah Faculty, who also officially opened the EDSA Fest 2025 event. Afterwards, EDSA 2025 Chairperson Arif Khasanul Izza and Hj performed the Tumpeng Cutting Ceremony. Alfu Nikmah M.Pd, as a symbolic meaning of gratitude, togetherness, and hope for TBI in the future.
Mr. Misbahul Munir AP, M.Pd, a speaker at the EDSA Fest 2025 event, explained the importance of courage and practice in learning English, especially for introverts. Mistakes are part of the learning process, and connection in communication is more important than grammar perfection or accent. Regarding government support for education, students were asked to stay motivated, focus on self-development, and not be influenced by negative news. Towards the end of the event, there were many art performances from all classes from 2nd to 6th grade. The distribution of prizes to the winners of the competitions marked the end of the EDSA Fest 2025.
