Korea is usually known for its K-Pop and K-Dramas among young people. So it is not surprising that Korean culture has an influence on young people or what is commonly referred to as the Korean wave. This influence is felt not only in drama, film, and music but also in Korean food/cuisine, fashion, style, and even beauty products (make-up and skincare). The magnitude of the influence of the Korean wave also inspired educators to carry out international service in the country of ginseng, especially in the field of education.
Lecturers have obligations stated in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education, Research, and Community Service (PKM). To carry out the third Tri Dharma, two IAIN Kudus English lecturers, Azizah Maulina Erzad and Suciati, volunteered at the International Workcamp program organized by the International Workcamp Organisation (IWO) Korea in Dochodo, Shinan, South Korea. Through Dejavato, they both represented Indonesia in the program, which was attended by 23 participants from 13 countries for one week, from 15-21 July 2024.

In this IWO-71 program, participants focused on education and heritage. On Thursday 18 July 2024, the two lecturers had the opportunity to provide information to Dochodo High School students about Indonesia. They also introduced several Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based applications that can be used by students to improve their English language skills because English is a foreign language or English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Korea. In addition, by collaborating with participants from Malaysia, they invited students to practice paper weaving.

Through this IWO-71 program, participants are expected to get to know each other's culture and introduce it to Docho High School students. The thing that is very felt by students is the practice of using English because it is used as the language of instruction during the service process.
