Optimize Language Labs: TBI IAIN Kudus Holds Training for Lecturers and Students
KUDUS – The English Education Department (TBI) of IAIN Kudus conducted an event titled Application and Training on Language Lab Utilization on Friday, September 2, 2022. The training, attended by TBI lecturers and students, aimed to enhance skills in optimizing the use of the language laboratory. Azizah Maulina Erzad, M.Pd., was invited as the main speaker to share insights and best practices.
In her presentation, Azizah Maulina Erzad, M.Pd., emphasized the importance of language laboratories as interactive learning tools to support language skill acquisition. She guided participants through various technological features available in the lab, including pronunciation software, conversation simulations, and language skill evaluation tools. “A language lab is not just a facility but a strategic tool for creating more effective and engaging learning experiences,” she explained.
Participants were also given hands-on experience in using the lab, from interactive class simulations to managing digital systems. The training was met with enthusiasm from students, who expressed greater confidence in utilizing the lab for their learning. “This training has been very beneficial because it taught us how to fully utilize the lab to improve our speaking and listening skills,” said Arif Maulana, one of the participants.
The Head of the TBI Program, Taranindya Zulhi Amalia, M.Pd., stated that the event was designed to improve the quality of the learning process in TBI. “We hope this training encourages lecturers and students to actively use the language lab as part of their language skill development,” she remarked. With this training, the language lab is expected to become a key element in supporting innovative learning in the TBI Program at IAIN Kudus.
