Prepare Final Projects, IAIN Kudus Students Equipped with Academic Writing Techniques
KUDUS – The English Education Department of IAIN Kudus organized a workshop titled Academic Writing for Final Project Preparation 2021 on Thursday, November 9, 2021. The event, held in the campus auditorium, featured Sri Wahyuni, M.Pd., as the main speaker. This program aimed to equip students with strong academic writing skills to support their final project preparation.
In her presentation, Sri Wahyuni, M.Pd., elaborated on key techniques in academic writing, including structuring a paper, using proper references, and avoiding plagiarism. “Writing a final project is not merely about fulfilling academic requirements but also reflects critical and systematic thinking skills,” she emphasized.
The workshop also included hands-on practice, where students were tasked with drafting outlines for their final project proposals. Participants showed great enthusiasm, especially when receiving direct guidance from the speaker. “Workshops like this are incredibly helpful for understanding the correct writing process, especially when tackling the often-challenging initial steps,” said Rina Kusuma, one of the attendees.
The program received positive feedback from both students and faculty members. The Head of the English Education Department, Taranindya Zulhi Amalia, M.Pd., expressed her hope that students would gain greater confidence and proficiency in preparing their final projects. With workshops like this, the success rate of students in completing their final projects is expected to improve significantly.
