The students from TBI IAIN Kudus had an excellent opportunity to learn via the Nara Mulia Nature School
Â
Nara Mulia Nature School, located in Ngembalrejo Village, Bae District, Kudus Regency, has successfully opened the door to education with a nature-based approach for children. With six classes resembling typical elementary school classes, each class accommodates 5-9 students.
Volunteers from the English Language program at IAIN Kudus play a crucial role in the learning process, teaching classes 1, 3, 4, and 5. With a duration of 1.5 hours, Monday to Friday is dedicated to regular lessons, while Saturdays provide an opportunity for outdoor learning or outing classes.
Outdoor learning, such as incorporating field journaling into outdoor nature classes, allows students to document their observations, sketches, and reflections. By maintaining a personal journal, students deepen their connection with the environment and merge scientific inquiry with artistic expression. This practice encourages students to appreciate nature's beauty while developing their documentation and reflection skills.
This volunteer activity spans approximately two months, from late October to early December. Nara Mulia Nature School is committed to providing a unique and enjoyable learning experience for children in Kudus.
