Jember, November 5, 2023 - Participants from the Department of English Language Education (TBI) of the State Islamic Institute of Kudus (IAIN Kudus) achieved remarkable success at the Week of Sports, Arts, and Sciences Across Java and Madura (PORSI JAWARA) held at the State Islamic University (UIN) Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember. The event, which took place from November 1 to 4, 2023, provided a prominent stage for debaters and athletes from IAIN Kudus.

In the debate competition, Nisa Nabila from TBI IAIN Kudus garnered attention by advancing to the semifinals alongside UIN Bandung, UIN Maliki Malang, and IAIN Kediri participants. The intriguing motion for the semifinals, "This House Would Allow Superheroes To Reject Emergency Calls," posed a thrilling challenge for the debaters vying for a spot in the final.

Equally impressive, Achmad Ahsanu Amala from TBI IAIN Kudus made it to the round of 16 in the badminton men's doubles category. Intensive preparation for approximately a month before the event yielded positive results for Ahsan and his team.

Participants from TBI IAIN Kudus expressed positive impressions of PORSI JAWARA 2023. The valuable experience gained in public speaking and networking will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on their academic journeys.

The opening and closing ceremonies of PORSI JAWARA were adorned with various traditional performances, enriching the experience for participants. This showcased the unique cultural diversity found throughout the Indonesian archipelago.

The organizing university fully covered all facilities, including transportation, accommodation, meals, and athlete necessities, including pocket money.
