One of the greatest gifts that Allah SWT has given us is that He created us to become human. Every human being is born with great potential that can bring glory and virtue, it causes humans to obtain an honor as human being, but to unfold this potential they need to face constant challenges. Therefore, KKN-IK DR Group 70 held an international online seminar entitled Unfold Your Potential via zoom meeting, on Wednesday, August 5th 2020 to help human unfold their potential become the best version of them.

KKN-IK DR group 70 successfully conducted the seminar Unfold Your Potential with three sub-theme discussions that are; (1) Maintaining Friendship with Foreigners; (2) Opportunities to Go Abroad and; (3) How to Compose A Good Thesis. We want people to optimize their potential, especially in the field of English. As we know, one of the things that can be done to develop someone English language skills is having someone talking to practice it. Making friends with foreigners can open new insights about the country, in addition to sharpening listening, reading, speaking and even writing skills that we have. Going abroad is also a dream for many people as well as scholar hunters, which they could get access of information from this seminar. In this international online seminar, speakers share their experiences and how they can go abroad. There are so many institutions that provide scholarships abroad, but there are still many that have not been updated on this matter. The last sub-theme is devoted to those who are struggling to work on a thesis as a university level final project.

The international online seminar was attended by more than 80 participants from various backgrounds such as high school students, college students, and teacher also. The seminar was opened by Azizah Maulina Erzad as a supervisor of group 70. There are three speakers of this seminar—Michael Fischer, B. Eng. as a keynote speaker is a postgrad student at Fau Erlangen Germany, Hani Nurlina—a transnational cooperation with Erasmus+ in Portugal, Jagad Aji W, D. Sc.—a project management in International NGO in Germany, and moderated by Nurul Aini Rizqina—a student at IAIN Kudus  also the owner at Rumah Kita English Course.

In this advanced industrial era 4.0 human can access any information from anywhere and anytime, hopefully we and all mankind as the next generation of this world can maximize our existing strengths and use them wisely.

I am so happy and grateful because this international online seminar run well and on target. Hopefully in the future there will be more international seminars held by English Education Dept, said Aini as the coordinator of Group 70. (CHA)
